Tickle Me Max...

Sweetwater 420 Festival

We went to the Sweetwater Fest with the Rickman's last Saturday. Scott and Brian ran the 5K race while Allison and I walked it with Max and Lily in their jogging strollers. Max decided that for the last 10 minutes of the UPHILL race that he no longer wanted to ride, he wanted to be carried! He is a chunk in case you hadn't noticed...I got my total body workout in for the day! We had a great time listening to music, eating Mellow Mushroom, checking out the Earth friendly vendors, oh yeah, and drinking Sweetwater beer! Max and Lily really had fun playing together. Max was climbing all over Lily and she never seemed to mind! Lily even shared her avocados with Max, he wasn't so sure about those yet!

My favorite food is...Sweet Potatoes!

Well, actually, Max seems to like anything and everything we feed him so far; shocker, I know! He loves sweet potatoes, bananas, and pears. Next up...sweet peas! He is doing so good opening his mouth really big and eating from a spoon. He has started waving one arm up and down very hard and fast when he gets excited and really wants something so, of course, he does that a lot while he is eating! He sure knows how to make a mess of his entire body with very little food!

Grandpere, we miss you!

Grandpere came to visit last week! He stayed with Max while Scott and I were at work. They had tons of fun going for walks, playing outside in the tent, and taking naps together. Grandpere even fixed our garage doors while taking care of Max! Now they no longer make the most annoying sound I have ever heard! Thank you Dad; we miss you!

Max's 1st Beach Trip!

Scott, Max, and I spent Spring Break at the beach in Destin, Florida. Max had so much fun playing on the beach, taking walks with Daddy, standing in the sand and feeling it for the first time, and getting in the pool! He is not afraid to try anything! Oh, and he also loved taking a bath in the sink and practicing drinking water from a cup! He did not like the 6 hour drive there and back restrained in his carseat...he HATES it! Other than that, we had such a great time! We even made it out to dinner one night. Max sat in a highchair and threw napkin pieces over his head while Scott and I ate our dinners at The Back Porch! Thank you Aunt Sarah for the cutest swim trunks ever and thank you Grammy for the adorable sun hat and super tight surf shirt! He was the cutest baby on the beach! Happy Easter...

Max enjoyed his 1st Easter. He woke up to a HUGE basket filled with gifts! He also got a new travel bag of his very own for our upcoming beach trip and a bunny he picked out by drooling all over it, both from Grammy! He got many other gifts as well! He loves his new puppy Scout that sings songs about him and what he likes (thanks Lily for telling Max about this cool toy)! Mostly, he just wanted to eat his Easter basket!





On Saturday before Easter we went to Nana and Pop's house for an Easter Egg Hunt. Max slept in Aunt Jacquie's arms instead of hunting eggs. He did have fun swinging in his swing with Pop though!

Getting The Hang Of It!

Max is getting better at eating cereal from a spoon. He seemed to actually eat it today and he enjoyed it too! Here is a little video of him eating...

Happy Half Birthday Max!

Max is 6 months old today! He weighed in at 17 pounds 26 inches long at his doctor visit today! I cannot believe how fast time has gone by and how much he has learned and changed since the day he was born! Here are some cute pictures of him enjoying the warm weather we have been having and other irresistible faces!

We Miss You Already Grammy and Aunt Jac!

Grammy and Aunt Jacquie spent their entire Spring Breaks at our house with Max. They had so much fun together going for walks, walking through Aldi (he loved the doors opening as they walked in), visiting Mommy at school, going to dinner at Pure with Uncle Josh, Aunt Sarah, and Luke, petting a horse and a donkey, and trying cereal for the first time. Grammy taught Max how to make raspberries with his mouth...his new favorite thing! Here are some pictures of his first bites of cereal.
