We Are Back!

Sorry for the absence of blogging and uploading pics and videos! I am sure you have been missing sweet baby Max...I know I would if I were you! My mom arrived for her visit on June 15th and she stayed for a week. We had such a great time with her while she was here. Max loves spending time with Grammy...he always learns so many new skills when she is with him! But, our time together did not end there! Max took his first airplane ride on June 23rd with my mom and I! We flew to Ohio to stay and visit with friends and family for 2 weeks. Max was a PERFECT baby on our hour and a half flight! He was having fun looking out the window for about ten minutes before take off at 9:30, he started to get his little whine on at about 9:15 so I nursed him and he fell sound asleep in my arms. He stayed that way the entire flight! Not a movement or peep from that sweet baby until I stood up to walk off the plane! It was such a great way to fly; watching him sleep and kissing and holding him for that long (it's been a while since I have done that)! My dad picked us up at the airport and Max was very excited to see his Grandpere! My dad can always make him smile and laugh! I know it makes my mom, dad, and Jac so happy to know that Max so obviously remembers their faces when he sees them for the first time and he LOVES them all so much! While we were in Ohio Max learned how to clap his hands (he likes to clap for himself, sometimes for no reason at all, and to the song Pat-A-Cake), wave hi and goodbye, and do SO BIG! He also became a really good finger food eater! He loved eating Cheerios, mandarin oranges, pasta, bananas, Greek yogurt, grapefruit, blueberries, and white peaches! It is so much fun watching him eat! He loved playing with all of my and my siblings old toys my mom had saved (Fisher Price toys were so much cooler and real looking back then). His favorite was a indoor mini wooden Radio Flyer wagon that acts as a walker that belonged to Aunt Jacquie when she was a baby...oh, and some tupperware bowls he used as drums and for crawling even faster (see video). Grandmom and Grandad came to visit us; Max was putting on a show for them letting them see all his old and new tricks (smiles galore). We visited my BEST college friends and their babies; Shelby, Emery (2 weeks older than Max) and Parker (4 going on 14), Molly and Bennett (14 months), and Alison and Stella (6 weeks old). It was so fun to watch Max playing with other babies...he was having so much fun he forgot all about me for a couple of hours; that gave me some relief regarding the start of attending daycare next month when I start back to school (more to come on that later). Scott drove up to meet us on our 4th Anniversary; we missed him so much so we were both very excited to see him when he arrived! We had a 4th of July cookout at my mom's (Aunt Judy, Uncle John, Aunt Nan and my cousin Malcolm, Grandmom and Grandad, dad, and my mom's best friend Georgia were all in attendance). Max enjoyed eating LOTS of watermelon for the 4th! We drove back to Georgia on July 7th...Max was such a great traveler in his new Britax carseat from Grandpere! Thank you mom, dad, and Jac for everything! We had so much fun spending time with you each day! Thank you for all the new clothes (this baby is the most well dressed baby I have ever seen...with the most choices of outfits too) and toys and most of all your unconditional love for Max! It was so relaxing and I know Max just loves being with you! We miss you so much! Whew...okay, that's enough about that. Here are lots of pics of our time with my family in Georgia and Ohio; videos and Max's 9 month post coming so check back soon...
